Hello, my name is Shannon Allen, I am a 37 year old Accountant turned stay at home mom to EIGHT dogs , the best job ever.  I have been married 15 years to a Virginia Tech Police Officer and my best friend. I enjoy camping and hiking the beautiful Appalachian Mountains and kayaking the New River. I love Virginia Tech Football....Go Hokies!!!

I began making Italian charms about two years ago to support my charity work for animal welfare organizations and the fight for a cure for cancer.  On January, 2007 my sweet dog Mira lost her battle to cancer.

I am a Dogs Deserve Better Area Representative for the New River Valley.

DOGS DESERVE BETTER is a nonprofit organization
dedicated to freeing the chained dog and bringing
our 'best friend' into the home and family.

We are located in Pembroke, VA (filming location of Dirty Dancing) just outside of Blacksburg, VA (home to Virginia Tech).
